Spam protection service is now available.

Nippon Data Corporation (CEO : Tomoyuki Taniguchi / Kita-ku, Tokyo) has launched "Spam Protection Service". This new service is one of the company's "DAWN WebService"range of ISP services.
The spam email transmitted by the third party is automatically identified by this service with the server of DAWN WebService. In addition, an as follows email header will be added (*1) and delivered when judged to be a spam email.
This service, based on Nippon Data and its group companies' Internet Security Policy Compliance, has become available for free for all the DAWN WebService users as of 1st December 2005.

Please judge with the mailer (e-mail software) that uses the above-mentioned header, and do the setting distributed to the recycle bin etc. The thing that the spam mail is not delivered is possible. However, there is a possibility not to be able to deliver when information not correct is intentionally registered in the Spam database, when server judge mail with a normal server to be spam mail mail. The spam mail doesn't compulsorily delete on the server side, and deliver with Spam information to the header part of email for these reasons. (Please inquire of each vendor about the setting and details of each e-mail software.)

The spam email protection service begins the final test operation on November 7, 2005. A similar function can be used at the time of this. However, there are a possibility of stopping temporarily to verify and to maintain of service etc.Please acknowledge the user who experimentally uses this function before it formally releases it beforehand.

Please note that while spam pattern files which determine viruses are updated on a regular basis, there may be cases where a new virus may not be detected if there is poor or no information about the virus or its offspring.
